I-SCMA thanks everyone who attended the May 4 online training session, Driving Digital Success. Presented by Gary Lavariere, Chief Revenue Officer of New England Newspapers, Inc., it was a great learning opportunity re digital transformation, pricing strategies, rapid a/b testing, hybrid meters, and more.
Gary explained the value of launching a paywall to show true value to print readership. He reviewed many great strategies for building your paid audience using a paywall including:
- a metered paywall offering a limited number of free articles for each user
- offering subscriber-only articles to add extra value to becoming a subscriber; and,
- a strategic pricing strategy using multiple introductory offers to maximize both subscription volume and lifetime value.
The takeaway from the webinar was to build a digital subscription model that will sustain the organization for years to come.
