It feels like just yesterday that back in 2005 I left a 35 year career in the supermarket industry and was passed the torch from the famous/infamous Walt Krause, and assumed the position as PDI Plastics Regional Sales Manager. Seventeen years later I’ll be attending my 15th ISCMA/ 360 Media conference this October. PDI Plastics has been a proud member and supporter of ISCMA for 37 years.
My first ISCMA Conference in 2005 was in Atlantic City. What a great conference venue. I experienced a fantastic welcoming group of professionals and I immediately new I made the right decision to join a great industry. Early on I felt a sense of a fraternity of professionals
with “ink in their blood”.
Talk about baptism by fire. In my first week of sales calls I had the pleasure to meet with Dan Christ at The Patriot-News and Danny Slep at The Altoona Mirror. They met with me with open arms and spent most of their time together schooling me on the newspaper business and to this day, 17 years later, it’s my privilege to have them as business partners and more importantly as friends. I feel I have been very fortunate to have established many like relationships over my career with PDI.
Our industries, both newspapers and news bag manufacturers, have seen so many changes over recent years and we all have had to pivot and adapt to survive.

One of my most cherished rewards during my tenure at PDI has been the opportunity to meet people in the industry. Their dedication and commitment has served as motivation for me to fight the good fight each and everyday.
I believe that my success in service excellence and continued commitment to providing superior, high-quality products makes our PDI team a logical choice.
