I-SCMA President Tom Salvo called on his Officers, Regional Directors, Committee Chairs, and Business Partners to come together to plan how best to serve the organization’s Members in 2023. On Jan. 26 in the offices of the Pennsylvania NewsMedia Association in Harrisburg, Pa., 17 volunteers answered that call.

The group spent the day discussing how to effectively meet Members’ needs for training and networking after ending the long relationship with 360 Media Alliance.

Since 2014, I-SCMA worked with John Newby and his 360 Media Alliance to produce annual conferences. While the relationship was rewarding, I-SCMA decided late last year to chart a new course.

Conversation during the Jan. 26 meeting covered many topics including training format and a robust discussion about different topics. Some topics included: digital subscription sales, navigating the print-to-digital transition, reaching younger readers, helping experienced circulators make the move to digital, retention, etc.

President Salvo wishes to thank the following people who participated in the session and freely gave of their time and opinions during the discussion: Chairperson Susan Probert, Vice President Dave Fellabaum, Regional Director John Mandish, Regional Director Allan Bowlby, Business Partner Representative Gary Markle, Past President Joe Nealon, Suzanne Levan, Secretary-Treasurer Dan Christ, John Samuel, former Business Partner Representative Dan Martini, Regional Director Janelle Ellis, George Dyevoich, Past President Jeff Simmons, Regional Director Yasna Perez, Regional Director Geri Canny, Past President Joe Salomone, and Steve Carson.
