Awards

Each year, I-SCMA recognizes the best carriers at our member newspapers.

Categories:

• Youth: ages 18 and under
• Adult: ages 19 to 54
• Senior: ages 55 and over

Dates:

• August 31: Application deadline
• Sept. 10: Judging
• Sept. 17: Notification of winners

Eligibility:

Any I-SCMA member newspapers’ contracted carriers are eligible to participate in the I-SCMA Carrier Recognition Contest. I-SCMA will accept application copies of the PNA contest.  I-SCMA will not accept applications from carriers at non-member newspapers.

Award presentation:

Winners are not required to attend the awards ceremony during the I-SCMA conference. I-SCMA will pay for winner’s meals and one guest at the conference, but winning carriers must cover their own travel and lodging expenses as well as any additional guests attending dinner if these expenses are not covered by their newspaper.

Award:

Winners in each category will receive an attractive plaque and $250.00. Winning carrier’s managers will receive a $50.00 reward.

Judging:

Applications will be judged by I-SCMA representatives selected by the News Carrier Chairperson. In the event of a tie, the tie will be broken with the vote of the News Carrier Chairperson. All decisions of the judging team will be final.
